Obituary for Betty J. Olmstead (Cecil) Print East Liverpool, Ohio – Betty J. Olmstead, 89, of East Liverpool passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at East Liverpool City Hospital following a brief illness. Betty was born in Wellsville, Ohio on January 18, 1930 a daughter of the late Howard and Olive Cecil. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married March 23, 1949 in Cumberland, MD, Paul Olmstead; sister Martha Richards; brother Donald Cecil and son-in-law Larry Shasteen.

Surviving are her daughter Kathy Shasteen and her companion Danny B. Hoyt, Sr. of East Liverpool; son Kenny Olmstead and his companion Janet Stowers of East Liverpool; four grandchildren Kenneth Christopher Olmstead of East Liverpool, Amber (Mohamed) Abouamra of East Liverpool, Krista (Charles) Tressler of Greensburg, PA and Lisa (James) Slentz of Greensburg, PA; four great grandchildren Aidyn Strother-Tressler, Caroline Tressler, Albany Slentz and James Slentz and two nieces Olive Duncan and Jenny Davis. Friends may visit Tuesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. Evangelist Will Montgomery of St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ will conduct a funeral service Wednesday at noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
