Betty J. Shaffer, 74, of Millersburg, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, Ohio. It was Bettys wishes that she have a private graveside service at Killbuck Cemetery and that there be no calling hours.

Family suggest that memorial contributions be made to the Holmes County Dog Warden, 5387 CR 349 Millersburg, Ohio 44654. Betty was born on February 9, 1945 in Millersburg Ohio and was the daughter of Robert and Wilma Grossenbach. She was a 1963 graduate of Killbuck High School.

She worked 30 years for West Holmes School District, retiring in 2000. She loved animals, flower gardening and mowing and being outdoors. She is survived by two sons; Wayne (Sharon) Shaffer of Welcome, Ohio and Lee (Mary) Shaffer of Millersburg, Ohio.

And three grandchildren; Chuck, Kelly and Luke. She is preceded in death by her parents.
