OBITUARY Betty Jane Ellzey September 5, 1934 – October 10, 2018 Betty Jane Ellzey died October 10, 2018. She was born September 5, 1934, in Sidonia, TN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois Earl (Skinner) Lee, and Carlene Lee, her son Michael Dillon, her daughter Mitzi Tiller and by her sisters Beverly Jones and Joyce Workman.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Lee Dillon, Kristy Jane Elgart (Danny) and Paul Thaddeus Dillon (Jan); her grandchildren, Jennifer Tiller, Jarred Woods, Craig Dillon, Tatum Severino, Nikki Dillon, Ashley Dillon, Brad Dillon, Meredith Dillon and her great grandchildren Scotty Dillon and Haley Dillon. As well as one great great grandchild. Betty was a sports enthusiast.

She loved watching all sports from Horse Racing to Football. She was an avid fisherman anytime anywhere. She loved telling stories and making people laugh.

She always had a kind word and never met a stranger. Her sayings are and will continue to be legendary. She was strong in her faith in Jesus Christ as her personal savior and was quick to tell you about her relationship with her lord.

Her attitude toward life was always squeeze every bit of fun out of every opportunity, because she would say you only got to go around once in this life, so make the most of it. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. and memorial services will follow at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, October 15 at Memphis Funeral Home.
