Betty Jean Myers, 91, of Kokomo, died at 7:14 a.m. Tuesday, July 9that Golden Living Center in Kokomo. She was born March 4, 1927 in Torrent, Kentucky to Noah and Ruth (Townsend) Chapman. She married Kelton L. Myers on December 27, 1942.

He preceded her in death on November 27, 2014. Betty was a homemaker and beautician; she owned an operated High Style Beauty Shop in Bunker Hill for many years and also worked for Golightly’s in Kokomo. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Bunker Hill and enjoyed puzzles, ballroom dancing, camping and traveling to Florida and Arizona with her husband.

Surviving family include her two sons, Terrell (Connie) Myers, Kokomo; and Craig (Sharon) Myers, Peru, IN. She is also survived by two grandchildren, nine step grandchildren several great grandchildren and sisters, Jenny, Roxanne and Sue. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Ferrell and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 13that Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston with Rev. Dr. Phil Collier officiating. Burial will follow at Rankin Cemetery in Peru.

Visitation will be held from 12 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Murray Weaver Funeral Home in Galveston has been entrusted with arrangements. www.
