Betty Jean Coy Lansing Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 29, 2018 at the age of 88. Born August 7, 1930 to Joseph and Norma (Bourdeau) McKenzie in Lansing, Michigan. Betty worked for Hornes Motor Lodge in Lansing and also for the Logan Center Laundromat for many years.

She was a member of Judson Baptist Church and was also very involved in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and is a lifelong member of Boy Scouts Troop #33. Betty enjoyed playing bingo, her Thursday morning… Read More » coffee group, crocheting, camping and fishing. Betty also loved her cat, Chauncey and enjoyed collecting cat figurines.

She will forever be remembered as a friend to all and will be dearly missed by all who remember her. Preceding her in death were her husband, Darwin Coy and her parents including her step-father, Gregg Bain. Surviving are her son, Byron (Sheila) Coy; daughter, Cathy (David) Norton; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; 3 brothers as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 2, 2018 at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel. Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 4-7pm at the funeral home. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Boy Scouts Troop #33 in Betty’s name.
