Betty Jean Moore Baxter, 83, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Hollie “Teater” Baxter, died Saturday, May 5, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Anderson County to the late Melvin Cecil Moore and Allie Frances Kays Brown. She was a member at First Baptist Church and retired from Fruit of the Loom in Frankfort where she worked for 25 years.

Ms. Baxter is survived by one daughter, Mary Jo Durman, of Panama City, FL; sister, Mary Evelyn Goins; step-mother, Gwen Page Moore; 1 half-sister, Kelta Muntz; 2 half-brothers, Kevin Moore, all of Frankfort and Mike Moore, of FL; niece, Connie Goins, Frankfort; nephew, Thomas Goins, Lawrenceburg; and her two caregivers, Sherrie Robinson and Sandy Gaines, both of Lawrenceburg. Along with her husband she was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Betty Jean Reese; step-son, Larry Thomas Baxter; and brother, Robert Cecil Moore. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert F. Ehr and Rev.

Josh Rayborn officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service.

Casket bearers will be Kevin Moore, Mike Muntz, Darrell Tracy, Connie Goins, Thomas Goins, and Johnny Giles. Memorial contributions are suggested to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601.
