Betty’s Obituary Betty Jean Novak, 82, of Kaufman, TX passed away on February 17, 2019 at home. Betty was born on April 2, 1936 to Emil and Bessie Reznicek Novak both of whom preceded her in death, her father in May 1977 and her mother in July 1993. Betty attended Kaufman schools and graduated in 1955.

After graduation she worked at the Kaufman County Court House for the County Clerk’s office and again in the late 1970’s for the County Auditor’s office. She retired from Kaufman area Salvation Army Service Center in 2006. Her parents owned Kaufman Bakery during the 1940’s.

Emil Novak retired from the Cooley’s Grocery Store in 1977. Betty is a life long member of the St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kaufman. Betty is survived by her St. Ann Church family, relatives and friends who loved her very much.

She will be missed.
