Obituary for Betty Joan Burks Betty Hall Duncan Burks, age 81, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at Avalon Nursing and Rehabilitation surrounded by family. She was born in Newnan, GA on October 07, 1937 to the late Henry Earl Hall and Ella Mable Coggin Hall. Along with her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her first husband, Rev.

Carey Duncan; stepson, Tracy Scott Burks and brother Tom Hall. Survivors include husband, Dr. Billy Burks; children, Karen Duncan Smith, Kim Duncan and his wife Cathy, Mary Ellen Corley and her husband Bill, David Duncan and his wife Leslie; step daughter, Susie Crum and her husband Cleve; grandchildren, Katie Glover and her husband Wilson, Eli Corley, Trevor Duncan, Courtney Carse, Josh Wilson; Great grandchildren, Ella Grace Glover, Wilson Glover, Caroline Glover, Maddie Grace Carse; sister, Bea Vineyard and sister in law Boo Hall. The funeral service is Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 3 PM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan with Rev.

Ken Norton and Pastor David Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at the historic Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. The family will receive friends on Sunday beginning at 1 PM at McKoon Funeral Home.
