Obituary for Betty Kieffner Betty (Elizabeth) Kieffner, age 88, of Jasper, passed away Sunday evening at her home. She was born on August 17, 1929 in Jasper to Bernard and Frances (Burke) Rees. She married Leo G. Kieffner on September 27, 1952 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland.

He preceded her in death on August 8, 2004. Betty retired from Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper where she worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for many years. Betty is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper and the St. Anne Society.

Surviving, Three daughters; Brenda Kieffner, Jasper, IN Judith Kieffner, Ferdinand, IN Sharon Rose Fulcher, Jasper, IN Five sons; Thomas Kieffner, Jasper, IN Steven Kieffner (Pina) Destin, FL Randall Kieffner (Tammy) Jasper, IN David Kieffner (Deb), Jasper Bradley Kieffner(Sherri) , Ferdinand, IN 12 Grandchildren ; Jessica (Fulcher) ( Eddie) Luegers, Jackie (Rajashekar) Kumaram, Jeremy Fulcher, Kara (Seth) Lanman, Danielle (Jake) Gish, Eric (Abigail) Kieffner, Gina Kieffner, Wyatt Kieffner, Morgan Crutchfield, Wade Kieffner, Kristine Probst and Elizabeth Hansen. and Five great grandchildren; Ellis, Jayla, Cole, Ella and Noah. One sister, Edna Mehringer, Jasper, IN Preceding her in death besides her husband are three brothers; Robert, Clarence and Claude Rees.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, (July 23, 2018), at St. Joseph Catholic Church with entombment to follow in Fairview Cemetery Mausoleum in Jasper. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Monday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. St. Anne Society will hold a rosary at 9:00 a.m. at the church.
