Obituary for Betty Lou Buscemi Betty Lou Buscemi RACINE-Betty Lou Buscemi, 89, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 9, 2018. She was born in Kaukauna, WI on March 15, 1929, the daughter of the late William and Myrtle Steffen. Betty attended Wm.

Horlick High School. On January 6, 1948, Betty was united in marriage to Joseph Buscemi in Dubuque, Iowa. She was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at St. Mary’s Hospital for 19 years, retiring in 1979.

Betty’s greatest joy was entertaining family and friends with her gift of cooking, and making Christmas handmade ornaments for her children and grandchildren. She found delight in making the holidays and birthdays joyous occasions for her family. Betty is survived by her husband of 70 years, Joseph; children, Mary Christine Buscemi and Joseph William Buscemi and granddaughters, Lana (Greg) Tirado, Melinda T. Innocencio, Sarah E. Buscemi, and Rebecca A. Buscemi.

She is further survived by 13 great grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren in addition to her sisters, Myrtle Fleuter and Bonnie Rundel, and sister-in-law, Geri Steffen. Betty was preceded in death by her brother, William Steffen, grandson, Giovani Tirado and daughter-in-law, Sue Buscemi. Betty’s funeral service will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Tuesday June 12, 2018 at 11 am.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time at 11am. Following services she will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Betty in a special way may direct memorials to Grace Hospice, 2514 S. 102nd Street, West Allis, WI 53227.
