Obituary for Stanley R. Fornes Stanley R. Fornes RACINE – Stanley R. Fornes, 87, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on August 11, 1930, the son of the late Gilbert and Delia (nee: Wentzel) Fornes. Stanley was a 1948 graduate of Park High School.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force, Airman 2nd Class. On June 5, 1954, he was united in marriage to Janice Larson at Atonement Lutheran Church. Stanley was a service supervisor at In-Sink-Erator for 35 years.

He was a member of Living Faith Church (formerly Atonement Lutheran Church) and Racine Instinctive Bowmen. Stanley loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, gardening, and golf. He also enjoyed woodworking and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Janice and their daughters, Kay (Norm) Bradley and Kaaren (Rich) Bowman; grandchildren, Tyler (Anna) Bradley, Tanner Bradley, Rhea Bradley, Brenna Bradley, Rick Bowman and Jim Bowman. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Murella York and a brother, Randy Fornes.

Funeral services will be held at Living Faith Lutheran Church, 2915 Wright Ave. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Denise Mbise officiating.

There will be a visitation at Sturino Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at 10:30 a.m. Stanley will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at West Lawn Memorial Park.
