Betty’s Obituary Betty Lou Ford, 74, of Harrisonburg, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019, at Sentara RMH Medical Center. Ms. Ford was born June 15, 1944, in McGaheysville, Va. , and was the daughter of the late, Charles and Viola Ford Bush.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Benjamin, William and Jessie Bush and three sisters, Stella Bush, Amanda Rose and Dorothy Lam; and sister-in-law, Nancy Bush. She was also preceded in death by her beloved dog, Molly. Betty was employed with Avante, now known as Curis in Harrisonburg where she was a House Keeper and Laundry Aid for the facility.

She enjoyed NASCAR and watching her favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and she loved listening to Elvis. Just recently, she was baptized during a recent stay at the hospital and was very proud. She is survived by three sons, David Ford of Penn Laird, Larry Ford and Kenneth Ford, Jr. both of Harrisonburg; a daughter, Kristie Ford of Harrisonburg; a stepson, Kenny Lam; two brothers, Johnny Bush and wife, Sonya of Shenandoah and Russell E. Bush of Staunton; grandchildren, Kenita Ford and companion, Timothy Chandler, Stephanie Vargas and husband, Junior, Tiffani Comer and husband, Andrew, Larry Ford, Jr. and wife, Sanela, and Bryan Ford, Corey Turner, Hunter Lamm, Thomas D. Ford, Kenneth N. Ford III, Amanda Maiden, Crystal Carper, and Jessica Kyger, and a number of great-grandchildren; and numerous special friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2019, at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg with Pastor Wayne Comer officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McGaheysville.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home.
