Betty “Sue” Martindale July 19, 1948 – December 31, 2018 Betty “Sue” Martindale, 70 of Davis, Illinois, passed away peacefully, Monday, December 31, 2018, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center with her family by her side. Born July 19, 1948 in LePanto, Arkansas, daughter of Robert and Roberta White Benjamin. She married Timothy Martindale on September 10, 1966 in Rockford.

Sue’s family always came first. She was a caring, loving person who was always helping others. She also was an advocate for doing the right thing.

Sue is loved and will be missed by her husband, Timothy Martindale, her sons; Timothy Martindale Jr. of Davis, Il. and Stephen Martindale of Rockford, IL. Honorary daughter, Deena Patterson of Winnebago, IL and God Sons Nathan and Nathaniel Patterson.

Her sisters, Teddy (Jim) , Barbara (Howard) and brother, Ron (JoJo). She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Roberta Benjamin and her sister, Peggy (Bill) Linn. In keeping with Sue’s request, no services will take place.

A memorial gathering will be held at Ken Rock Community Center, 3218 11th Street in Rockford, IL. on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the charity of your choice and advise the family of your doing so.
