Betty Piros, 94, passed away on April 25, 2018 at Ohio Living at Lake Vista. Betty was born in Macks Creek, Missouri on March 16, 1924 to Elmer & Janie (Curnutt) McClanahan. She was united in marriage to Julius Piros for 49 years until his death in 1993.

Betty worked as a secretary for Cortland Elementary School for 29 years. She was also actively involved in the Cortland United Methodist Church and various book clubs. Betty is survived by her daughter Linda (Craig) Callahan of Cherry Hills Village, Colorado; her grandsons Brian (Kathryn) Callahan and Scott Callahan and her great granddaughter Harper Callahan, all of Denver, Colorado.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Diane Piros. A memorial service will be held on Friday April 27th at 1:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, Cortland; where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library Cortland Branch.
