Obituary for Beverly Anne Bosley Beverly Anne Bosley, our beloved mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, died at home on Thursday, April 19, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 11, 1949 in Sharon, CT, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Blanche (Dwy) Way. She attended Dover schools and was an accomplished student for attendance and citizenship, a four-year captain of the Cheer Squad and a superior athlete who represented the school at state-wide competitions.

She was voted Most Athletic of her graduating class of 1967 and was also a former Miss Dover. After attending Albany Business School, she worked for the State of New York for 37 years in the Personnel and Business Office administration. When the Harlem Valley Psychiatric Center closed in 1994, she worked at Hudson River Psychiatric Center in Poughkeepsie and at the NYS Division for Youth in Wingdale, NY until she retired in 2004.

An avid golfer, Bev was the secretary and treasurer of the Harlem Valley Golf Club in Wingdale for several years. She also enjoyed bowling and most recently was a member of “Annie’s Gang” at Lore’s Lanes in New Milford, CT and “The Good Old Timers” league in Fishkill. Bev loved to play bingo and board games and hosting Wednesday night poker with her friends.

Her family and friends treasured her fun and loving spirit and her particular fondness and special way with children. On Christmas and Thanksgiving, she hosted family who delighted in her delicious macaroni and cheese. Bev loved to travel with her sister twice a year to Texas to visit her family.

Bev’s spontaneous and vivacious personality left an indelible mark on the lives of her family and friends who loved her and will deeply miss her. Beverly is survived by three sons, Craig E. Bosley and his wife, Tara, of Cypress, TX, Scott D. Bosley of Dover Plains and Eric C. Bosley of Houston, TX and daughter-in-law, Jessica Lasch of Dover Plains; two brothers, Harold Way of Dover Plains and Ernest Way of Wingdale and a sister, Dorothy McEnroe of Poughquag, NY. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Arianna, Brianna, Hailey, Colton and Kane Bosley, Aidan Anderson and Jayce Lasch and very special and dear nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband, Craig F. Bosley. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at the Dover Plains United Methodist Church, Mill St., Dover Plains.

Burial will follow at South Dover Rural Cemetery in Wingdale. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, 8550 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. , Suite 550, Chicago, IL 60631.
