William “Bill” Robert Poor, 73, passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, IL on April 13, 2018. A memorial service will be held from 11 am – 1 pm on Friday, April 27th (Arbor Day) at Renner-Wikoff Chapel, 1900 S. Philo Rd. , Urbana.

Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana. He was born March 12, 1945 to Glenn Poor, Sr., and Rosalind Roberts in Urbana, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, four siblings (Glenn Poor, Jr., Barbara Carpenter, Patricia McGinty, James Poor), and one granddaughter.

He is survived by his wife (Donna Brandeberry-Poor), three children (Michael Poor, Lisa Powers, Jennifer Evens), and 6 grandchildren. Bill grew up in Urbana. He later lived in Mayview, Rantoul, and Decatur.

He ran Bill Poor’s Tree Service for several decades. A lifelong musician, he most recently performed with Great News Radio’s “Singing Men of ‘GNN”. He was a member of Meadowbrook Community Church in Champaign.
