Lois Evelyn Overmyer, 95, of Manassas, VA, formerly of Urbana passed away at 12:21 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Lake Manassas Health & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel in Urbana. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Entombment will take place after the funeral at Mt. Hope Mausoleum, Champaign. Lois was born on July 9, 1922 in South Bend, IN to parents Charles and Avice (Johnson) Hoffman.

They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her step-son Joel Overmyer and one sister. On July 17, 1952 she married James Overmyer in Champaign; he passed away on March 13, 2015.

She is survived by her daughters; Celinda Mitchell of Manassas, VA and Cynthia Mahoney of Orem, UT. Nine grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren also survive her. Lois was a Telecommunications Administration Aid at the University of Illinois for over twenty-five years and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Urbana who sang in the choir.

She also volunteered in the auxiliary at Carle Hospital. In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
