Donald Edward Buracker, 70, of Morton, IL passed away at 9:10 p.m. on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at his home surrounded by family. A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Renner-Wikoff Chapel & Crematory in Urbana. Cremation rites will be accorded.

Graveside services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mayview. Donald was born in Springfield, IL on August 29, 1947 to parents William and Lucille (Colvin) Buracker.

They preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his daughter, Leslie Buracker-Armer On May 14, 1966 he married Alberta “Bert” Jarrett in Urbana, she survives. Also surviving is his son William “Bill” (Anna) Buracker of Rockford, his sister Sandra (Garrett) Allen of Urbana and four grandchildren.

He graduated from Urbana High School and was an Optician for over forty years. He was a member of Webber Street Christian Church, and a former Mason. Don had various hobbies, he loved woodworking, fishing, travelling and working on cars.

He enjoyed being outside, going on treasure hunts with his metal detector and spending time with friends and family. Don was an avid, humorous storyteller and is going to be remembered and missed by everyone who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
