Obituary for Billy Rice Billy “Bill” Dewey Rice, 82 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. Bill was born Monday, September 23, 1935 in Baxter, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Dewey Mansfield and Ola Harness Rice. Bill was a loving person who enjoyed to hunt and fish.

Bill is survived by: Sisters, Sue and Joel Perkins of Baxter, Tennessee, Reba Davis of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Barbara Allen of Cookeville, Tennessee, Mary and Jimmy Shackleford of Olmstead, Kentucky; Brothers, Bob and Ruth Rice of Sparta, Tennessee, Denver and Linda Rice of Madison, Tennessee, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brothers, Yune, Roy, James, and Gene Rice and sister Geraldine Rice Felts. Funeral Services for Billy “Bill” Dewey Rice will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 11, 2018 from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home with Brother Elmore and Tim Judd.

Interment will follow in the Plainview Cemetery in the Cassville Community of Sparta, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be: Shane Gantt, Chad Gantt, Danny Goff, Mike Goff, Richard Rice, and Kenneth Rice.
