Billy Jack Townsend September 04, 1934 – May 13, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Billy Jack Townsend, 84, of Bessemer, AL passed away May 13, 2019. Billy Jack retired from General Motors of Indiana with over 30 years of service. After retirement he returned to Alabama to build his log cabin with Dottie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothea Townsend and his granddaughter, Ashlee Townsend. Billy Jack is survived by his sons, David Townsend and Kenton Townsend; his step son, Stanley Howell; his daughters, Patricia Scott, Karen Ewing and Anjanette Beason; his step daughters, Linda Bane and Terri Brooks; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
