Billy Ray Martin was born, one of sixteen children, November 29, 1946 in Checotah, Oklahoma to William and Thelma (Lovette) Martin. He passed away April 30, 2018 in the Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 71. Billy grew up in Randlett, Oklahoma where he graduated from Central High School in 1968.

Upon graduation he went directly into the United States Army where he served his country proudly. He later worked for a short time as a carpenter while living in Texas. He later returned to Oklahoma and he enjoyed a career as a dairy farmer for many years.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; (2) infant siblings; (3) adult siblings, Johnny Green, Theda Martin, Rocky Martin. Survivors include his (10) siblings, Ocie Chaney, Alene Kindrick, James E Martin, Martha Smith, Neida Jimenez, Reida Martinez, Thelma Wilson, Adell Clonts, Richard Martin, Charles Martin; and many other family and friends. A private burial will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Martin Family Cemetery in Carney.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
