Obituary for Billy Ray Moyer Billy Ray Moyer, 75 of Abilene passed away Friday, April 13, 2018. He was born March 2, 1943 in Junction City, the son of Ray and Ila (Johnston) Moyer. Billy grew up in Junction City and graduating from Junction City High School and later went on to serve 4 years in the United States Navy.

On September 4, 1994 he was united in marriage to Melba “Jean” Huffine in Abilene. Bill was a welder for Great Plains Manufacturing Plant for 20 years. Billy is survived by his loving wife Jean of the home.

One daughter, Gwendolyn (Moyer) Montalvo-Vera and husband Jose of Puerto Rico. Brother: Bobby Moyer of Byers, Colorado. Step-children: Sherry DeLay, David Rikard, Nancy Brandt, Jeff Graves and Joe Graves.

11 Grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Connie Kinser and infant brother. Funeral Services for Billy will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Williams officiating.

Interment will follow at the Abilene City Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M. The family suggests memorials be given to the American Cancer Research or the American Diabetes Research. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW Third St., Abilene, Kansas 67410.
