OBITUARY Bobbie J. Long February 16, 1933 – August 30, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Bobbie Jean Long, age 85, went peacefully to be with the Lord on August 30, 2018 while in the care of Hospice Ministries of Ridgeland, MS. Bobbie Jean was a resident of Pearl, MS. Bobbie Jean was born in Big Spring, Texas on February 16, 1933 to Jim and Annie Wiles.

She attended Florence High School and Jackson Commercial College. Bobbie Jean married Donald C. Long on July 17, 1953. She worked as a secretary within the Insurance industry as well as various City and State offices within Mississippi.

She retired in 1994. She enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling with her husband as well as spending time with family. Bobbie Jean is survived by her husband, Donald, of 65 years, son Drew Long (Rachel) of Pearl, MS, sisters Joann Simms of Alabama and Ruby Wedgeworth of Brandon, MS, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Annie Wiles, a brother Elmer Wiles and a sister Grace Morton. Visitation will be from 2 pm till 3pm on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Baldwin-Lee in Pearl, MS followed by a graveside service at Sinai Cemetery, south of Florence, MS. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Hospital in Memphis, TN.

We wish to thank Hospice Ministries for their considerate, thoughtful and loving care of Bobbie Jean and her family members during her last days. FAMILY Bobbie Jean is survived by her husband, Donald, of 65 years, son Drew Long (Rachel) of Pearl, MS, sisters Joann Simms of Alabama and Ruby Wedgeworth of Brandon, MS, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
