OBITUARY Steven Douglas Groom September 21, 1960 – October 7, 2018 Steven Douglas Groom, 58, of Pearl, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Doug was born in Gulfport, Mississippi on September 21, 1960 to Vicki Mills and Joseph Groom. He attended Harrison Central High School.

Doug worked as a shipping supervisor and contractor for International Shipping Co., and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a beloved member of M.M.S.T. Doug is survived by his wife, Rachel Groom; children, Josef Vlach (Brandy), Joey Groom, Rebecca Russell, and Marie Adkinson; siblings, Clay Groom (Elizabeth) and Sheila Maulding (Steve); grandchildren, Caleigh Groom, Christian Casaus, Destiny Keys, Joseph Groom, Madelen Russell, Carter Russell, Hunter Vlach, Ryder Vlach, and Owen Vlach; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vicki Mills Kent and Joseph Groom; daughter, Christine Groom; and son Matt Adkinson. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, prior to the service.

A special thanks to Stevie and Stefanie Mills, our uncle, Johnny Rea, and everyone that helped out. FAMILY Doug is survived by his wife, Rachel Groom; children, Josef Vlach (Brandy), Joey Groom, Rebecca Russell, and Marie Adkinson; siblings, Clay Groom (Elizabeth) and Sheila Maulding (Steve); grandchildren, Caleigh Groom, Christian Casaus, Destiny Keys, Joseph Groom, Madelen Russell, Carter Russell, Hunter Vlach, Ryder Vlach, and Owen Vlach; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. .
