Obituary for Bobby G. Looney Bobby G. Looney, age, 64 of Bluff City passed away on June 18, 2018 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Bobby was the son of the late Buster and Essie Mae Looney. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Sol Looney.
Bobby was a coal miner in Buchanan County, Virginia for 34 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for being a loving and caring husband, father, grandpa, uncle, and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Fern E. Looney of the home, two sons; Billy Brewster (Jennifer) of Bristol, TN, Bobby Looney Jr. (April) of Jackson, OH, daughter; Michelle Looney of Jackson, OH, sister; Helen Wolford (Junior) of Maxie, VA, sister-in-law; Wilda Looney of Maxie, VA, grandchildren; Krystle Thomas (Jessee) , Jessica Hilst, Cortney Childress (Chase) , Abigail Coleman , Gabe Coleman, Madison Looney, great-grandchildren; Austin Thomas, Riley Childress, nieces; Sharon Kay and Lisa, Nephews Shawn and Phillip Allen. A service to honor the life of Bobby Looney will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Tetrick Funeral Home- Bluff City Chapel with Pastors Eddie Wilson, Ronnie Sliger, and Jerry Matney officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m or at the residence at other times.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Sunrise Cemetery in Bluff City. Pallbearers will be Roosevelt Payne, Paul Payne, Joseph Payne, Phillip Allen, Charlie Stump, Mickey Joe, Ronnie Stiltner, and Robert Holt. Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Scott Rowe and Matthew Rowe.
Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m to go in procession. The family would give a special thank you to Wellmont Cancer Institute in Bristol TN. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.
