Obituary for Bea Nelson Bea Nelson, age 96, of Johnson City, formerly of Bluff City, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at The Waters of Johnson City. Bea was a native of Benhams, VA and a life-long resident of Bluff City. She was a member of Oakland Avenue Baptist Church in Johnson City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Nelson; two sons, Robert Franklin McKinney and Donald Wayne McKinney; and a son-in-law, Thomas B. Clark. Those left to cherish her memory include one son Billy McKinney (Charlotte) of Eastview, KY; one daughter, Carolyn Clark of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Gregory McKinney (Stephanie) of Riverview, FL; Jodi Davenport (Greg) of Eastview, KY; Jacob McKinney (Jennifer) of Louisville, KY; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan Nall of Eastview, KY; Dillion McKinney and Derek McKinney, both of Louisville, KY; and a daughter-in-law, Sharyon McKinney of Bluff City. A service to celebrate the life of Bea Nelson will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Monday, June 11, 2018 at Tetrick Funeral Home, Bluff City Chapel with Reverend Roy Yelton officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM prior to the funeral service on Monday. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 2:30 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Morning View Cemetery in Bluff City. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 2:20 PM.
