Obituary for Cecil Wayne Peeks Mr. Cecil Wayne Peeks, age 73, of Elizabethton, went home to be with his Lord, surrounded by his family, on Monday, June 11, 2018, at his home. He was the son of the late Cecil and Rina “Mandy” (Taylor) Peeks and was born in Elizabethton, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Cindy Hardin.

Wayne graduated from Unaka High School, Class of 1963, where he played football. He and Loretta were married at East Park Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN in 1965. He retired from Sears and after his retirement he worked at both Walmart and Advance Auto.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Elizabethton where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed playing golf and especially loved doing anything that involved his granddaughter Makenzie! Wayne is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Loretta Campbell Peeks, of the home; his daughter Tiffany Peeks Revis and son-in-law Mark Revis; his granddaughter Makenzie Revis, all of Elizabethton; two sisters-in-law, Earlene Campbell, of Southport, NC; Aggie Lyons and her husband, Bobby, of Carolina Shores, NC; and a brother-in-law, Tim Campbell and his wife, Terri, of Elizabethton.

Several cousins on both the Taylor side and Peeks side also survive. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service, however family and friends are invited to visit the family at the home at any time. The graveside service and interment for Mr. Cecil Wayne Peeks will be conducted on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev.

Travis Tyler and Rev. Ron Owens officiating. Active pallbearers will be the deacons of Grace Baptist Church.

Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Grace Baptist Church, his co-workers at Sears, Walmart and Advance Auto and his neighbors at Sunrise Condos. Those wishing to attend are invited to meet the family at Tetrick Funeral Home in Elizabethton at 10:15 AM on Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is the family’s wish that memorial donations be made to the Unaka High School Quarterback Club, 155 Sunrise Drive, Unit#6, Elizabethton, TN, 37643.
