Bonnie Carol Henneke January 06, 1941 – March 04, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Bonnie “Carol” Henneke, age 78 of Alvin, Texas passed away at home, on Monday, March 4, 2019. Carol was born January 6, 1941 in Spokane, Washington andwas a resident of the Alvin for 42 years. Carol is preceded in death by her parents, James and Doris Julien; son, Richard Koenig; sister, Carmen Gertson.

In her youth, Carol was a spelling bee champion at Foster Elementary in Houston, TX at age 11. Her love of spelling was carried her whole life playing Scrabble and Upwards frequently with family and friends and she was quite often the winner. She loved to read and always had a book in her hand often falling asleep still holding the book.

Carol was a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) before taking on the role of full time Mom at home raising her kids and spoiling the grand kids. She had several hobbies including ceramics, scrap booking, and playing Bookworm. She also loved to bowl on Tuesday mornings and was part of the Alvin bowling league for years.

Carol is survived by her loving husband, Robert Henneke, Sr.; daughter, Laura Koenig; son, Robert Henneke, Jr.; sister, Joyce Goodson; grandchildren, Richard Koenig, Jr. and wife Lasheena , Chelsea Koenig, Travis Koenig and wife Amber; great grandchildren, Jayden Koenig and Skylar Koenig; along with numerous other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Scott Funeral Home, with a Rosary service starting at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manvel, Texas. Interment will follow after services at South Park Cemetery, Pearland, Texas.
