Sarah Grace Dearmond May 25, 1999 – February 25, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, Sarah Grace Dearmond left this world unexpectedly at 19 on February 25, 2019. Gracie was the most beautiful intelligent graceful kind and compassionate human being. The light that she brought into the lives of others will forever be immeasurable.

Gracie is the perfect example of selfless humanity. She used her life as a way of advocating for others in her community raising money and awareness through foundations like Kendra Scott gives back and the Hydrocephalus Association for those living with disabilities and chronic diseases. She was the voice that others needed and the very essence of joy.

Gracie was born to be a leader and to influence those that crossed paths with her and that’s exactly what she did. She was a second-year student at Texas Tech University where she planned to graduate with a degree in business administration and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority Gracie was fierce and strong and had and had passions big enough to make waves. The waves of who she was, the incredible thing she did, and the love and memories that she gave others will flow until the end of time.

The world has forever been altered. I can hear a million and more hearts breaking—each that our Gracie has touched. Special Requests: We are asking for donations of teddy bears to give to the local CASA for children adopted through fostering.

When they receive their forever family, they receive a teddy bear and pledges to be its forever family. Gracie’s favorite color was pink and sometimes, “I was feeling yellow,” yellow, so we are requesting that all attending wear pink or yellow to honor this amazing young lady. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Scott Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 4, 2019 at Grace Church 14505 Gulf Freeway Houston, Texas 77034. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas. Arrangements under the direction of the Scott Family, 1421 East Hwy 6, Alvin, Texas 77511.
