Obituary for Bonnie Donelson Russell Bonnie Donelson Russell, 84, of Marietta, GA died April 22, 2018, with her family by her side. Bonnie was born to the late John and Rachel Donelson of Akron, Ohio and retired to Sanford, FL. Her older sister was the late Eloise Mathis, Cuyahoga, Ohio.

Bonnie graduated from David Lispcomb High, Nashville, TN and was married for 56 years to her beloved husband, the late educator, coach, and principal, Roger Russell. Bonnie is survived by three children, Rodney Russell of Acworth, GA, Vicky Hart (David) of Knoxville, TN, Richard Russell (Susette) of Acworth, GA; three grandchildren, Lindsey Russell, Lacey Cheek, and Teresa Hart. Bonnie was known for her faith, love of others, her generosity, and her positive outlook.

She was beautiful inside and out. Bonnie worked as a School Secretary and then oversaw the County Payroll for the Cobb County School System for 28 years. Bonnie, a faithful member of the North Atlanta Church of Christ, later attended East Cobb Church of Christ.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta.
