Bonnie J. Gersh, 96, of Chesterton, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018. She was born December 15, 1921 in Valparaiso, the daughter of Vernon and Edna (Buhlhand) Beach. Bonnie was a teacher and a member of the Bergen County Medical Society Women’s Auxiliary in New Jersey.

On May 5, 1956 she married Dr. Eugene Gersh, who survives in Chesterton. Also surviving are her nephews Eugene E. (Valorie) Engel of New Jersey and Vernon R. Engel of Portage, niece Miriam Maduro of Massachusetts, caregiver and great niece Dawn Engel, many great nieces and nephews, several great-great nieces and nephews, and a great-great- great niece. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso, great niece Rev.

Judy Engel officiating. Burial will be in Angelcrest Cemetery, Valparaiso. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home.
