Stelmaszek, Harry W., age 86, passed away on May 21, 2018, in Valparaiso, IN. Harry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joanne; daughter Patty (Bob) Sokol, grandchildren Brian (Amanda) Sokol, Cheryl (Mike) Mulder, and great-grandchildren Brayden, Lily, Edwin and Bennett. He is preceded in death by his parents Felix and Sophie Stelmaszek, brothers Edward (Stella) Stelmaszek, Cary (Lucy) Steller, and sister Phyllis (Gene) Hirsch.

He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Harry is a proud veteran of the Korean War, a past Commander and lifetime member of the VFW, a retiree of Acme Steel and served as usher for many years at St. Liborius Catholic Church in Crete, IL. Visitation will be on Friday, May 25th from 10 a.m. to noon at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe Street, Valparaiso, IN, followed by funeral services immediately following at the Home.

Interment will be held at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL. The family would appreciate memorials to be directed to either Alzheimer’s Association or Dunes Hospice.
