Kay Sue Butterfield, 78 of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018. She was born January 2, 1940, in Valparaiso, the daughter of Riley and Celia (Jones) Johnson. Kay was a 1958 Valparaiso High School graduate and was a cashier at C.V.S. for many years.

On May 28, 1966 she married Billy A. Butterfield, who preceded her in death December 16, 2014. Surviving are her sons, Robert Butterfield of Colorado Springs, CO and William (Pierrette) Butterfield of Zapata, TX, 4 grandchildren, Nicolas, Elise, William and Alex, her brother Bob (Donna) Johnson of Valparaiso , sister-in-law Belva Ried of Valparaiso and brother-in-law Byron Butterfield of Florida. She way also preceded in death by her parents and sisters Betty Groff and Margaret Spies.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 12, 2018 10 AM-1 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St, Valparaiso. A Private Funeral Service to follow with Pastor Mike Eddy officiating.
