Joan Doolittle Pacholke, 70 of Valparaiso passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018. She was born April 22, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to Philip and Adeline (Krejci) Doolittle. On April 11, 1970 in Valparaiso, she married Mark S. Pacholke who survives.

Joan is also survived by her children Aaron (Laurie) Pacholke of Tampa, Florida, David (Heather) Pacholke of Lewisville, North Carolina, and Jessica (Paul) Kavanagh of Charlotte, North Carolina; 5 grandchildren Kaitlyn, Neenah, C.J., Jessa, and Drew; and her siblings Phoebe Brink of Valparaiso, Philip (Jan) Doolittle of Valparaiso, Jimmy (Lorraine) Doolittle of Valparaiso and Jean Arrington of Tennessee. Her goddaughter Kimberly Arrington of Tennessee and many nieces and nephews also survive her. Joan was a retired RN.

She worked for the Porter Health System (Porter Memorial Hospital) in labor and delivery for many years. She was also a longtime member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Valparaiso. Visitation for Joan will be on Thursday, July 12th from 4-8 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home, 102 Monroe St. in Valparaiso.

A funeral mass will be celebrated will on Friday, July 13th at 10:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1855 W. Harrison Blvd. in Valparaiso. Rev.

Douglas J. Mayer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
