Bonnie Lee Bybee Davis November 2, 1935 – July 1, 2018 Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend was surrounded by family as she returned to her heavenly home Sunday, July 1, 2018. Bonnie was born to Arley Vance Bybee and Tressa Anais Long Bybee on November 2, 1935 in Ogden, Utah. She was born with a sparkle in her eye and was crowned “baby queen” and became the face of Morning Milk, an evaporated milk company.

That same light accompanied her throughout her life. Bonnie was very creative and spent many hours drawing elaborate paper dolls. She also spent many summer days on her grandfather’s watermelon farm and enjoyed being with extended family.

She graduated from Weber State College with her associate degree in 1955. She was a member of Lambda Delta Sigma which led her to meeting the love of her life. She married Jay Albert Davis on September 5, 1957 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and together they had seven children, whom she cherished.

Through her example, she taught them to be loving, forgiving, positive, dedicated, and selfless. Nothing brought her greater joy than her family. Bonnie devoted her life to, and made many sacrifices for them.

She held many family gatherings that formed great relationships and memories with her posterity. Her caring nature was also evident in the way she cared for her many house plants. Bonnie was a devoted and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She touched many lives through her years of extensive church and temple service and was a great support to her husband throughout his service. Together they served two church missions, one in Riverside, California and one in Ogden, Utah. She loved extracting names for family history and continued doing so as long as she was able.

In her own words, Bonnie wrote: “I have had a very good life, having lived in the best of times. I have seen many changes, both good and not so good. I have come to know who I am, a daughter of God, and to whom I can turn to, my Savior Jesus Christ, an anchor to my soul.

It is through accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior that we can be perfected and return to our Heavenly Father’s presence to receive all that He has”. Her sweet and gentle heart radiated love and made a lasting impact on all she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, Teddy, and granddaughter, Jenny. She is survived by her children, David Davis, Ogden; Debbie (Archie) Grindy, Richmond; Diane Davis, North Ogden; Annette (Todd) Erickson, Pleasant View; Susan (Michael) Quayle, Reese; Michael (Kim) Davis, Blackfoot, ID; and Mark Davis, Chase City, VA; 28 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren with three on the way. Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Farr West Stake Center, 2132 West 2700 North.

Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N Washington Blvd. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.

The family would like to thank Envision Hospice, especially Teri Braegger, Tiersa Page, and Gloria Leon, and Emily Christensen for their loving care. In lieu of flowers, donate to the LDS Missionary Fund.
