Keith X Brown 1923-2018 Dora and Edwin Parley Brown of Murray welcomed their new son, Keith X Brown, on January 29, 1923. He quickly grew and made lasting friendships with his eight siblings. In his younger years he attended Bonnyview Elementary where he learned the school song.

He could often be heard singing it joyfully into his adult years. Junior High and High school brought on interests of photography and woodworking. He even started the first photography club at Murray High.

After graduating from Murray High School in 1941, he received training in electronic, mechanical and radio repair. He was drafted into the Army in 1943 and served honorably in the Pacific Islands during World War II. After the war he worked at Hill Air Force Base (for 38 years).

On June 16, 1947 he married DeLell Monson in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their house a home in Layton and welcomed nine children into their family. He blessed the lives of many as he served the Lord faithfully as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He served in many callings, including Bishop of the Layton 16th Ward. He also served as Assistant Recorder in the Ogden Temple. His beloved DeLell suddenly passed away in July 1986.

A few years later he married her sister, Lani Kay in the Ogden Temple. Her four children were quickly loved as his own. Lani passed away in February 2012.

What a capacity he had to love! His 95 years were filled with honesty, integrity, faith, kindness and love. We will miss him dearly, as he passed away on July 2, 2018.
