Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Broadus Averette; daughters, Angela (Ken) Mixon of Elgin, SC, Monica (Ryan) Bartola of Elgin, SC and Heather (Phillip) Eddins of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Brianna and Branden Mixon; two brothers, George and Daniel Bess.
