Life Story for Brenda Mae Taylor BRENDA MAE TAYLOR, age 77 of Delta, PA died early in the evening on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. She was the wife of the late W. Clifton “Bud” Taylor who died on July 7, 2012. Mrs. Taylor was born in Baltimore, MD on April 19, 1941, the daughter of the late Arthur Thomas and Edith Mae (Allen) Carlin, Jr. Brenda was born and raised in Kingsville, MD.

She started working at an early age to help her family by taking on an operator position at the former C&P Telephone Company located in Bel Air, MD where she was employed for four years. While living in the Kingsville area, she worked as a school bus driver for Baltimore County Schools for four years. After moving to Delta, she continued to drive school buses for the late Carl Colvin for another four years.

She then began working at Tom’s Super Thrift in Cardiff where she worked in the bakery for 21 years. Shortly after leaving the store she decided to work another two years in the cafeteria at Kennard-Dale High School where she ended her employment to stay home with her granddaughter. Mrs. Taylor loved to watch and feed birds, bake, work on puzzles, travel, and play bingo with her friends.

Brenda loved her family, friends and cherished every moment with her grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 1 at 12:00 p.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA. The viewing and visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Reverend James B. Shuler, pastor of the Pine Grove Presbyterian Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA.
