Obituary of Brian Brown Brian J. Brown, 72, of Bemus Point, NY died unexpectedly Monday April 16, 2018 in UPMC Chautauqua WCA Hospital. A lifelong area resident, he was born February 21, 1946 in Jamestown the son of the late Walter I. and Frances R. Burroughs Brown. Brian was a 1964 graduate of Bemus Point High School and was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving in Wiesbaden, Germany.

Prior to retirement, he worked at Ellison Bronze for 40 years. He loved the lake and was an avid fisherman. Brian also loved golf and was a member of the Art Asquith Senior Tour, and the War Vets.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart, Michele Charest Brown whom he married June 18, 1966; three children: Kerri (Mark) Schiavo of Bensalem, PA; Kristopher Brown (Julie Fenton) of Jamestown; Bradley (Jessica) Brown of Falconer; six grandchildren: Jordan, Luke, and Allison Schiavo; Nicholas, Hannah, and Benjamin Brown; two brothers: Barry Brown of Jamestown; Thomas Brown of Lakewood; a sister: Laurrie Josephson of Pinehurst, TX; a sister in law: Yvonne (Allan) Southwick of Harrisburg, NC; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Brown. The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Lind Funeral Home.

Deacon Daniel Tyler will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday prior to the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bemus Point Volunteer Fire Department, 13 Alburtus Ave.
