Obituary for Brian Kanterman End of Watch for Brian Kanterman, 25, was December 25, 2018 in Stafford, VA. Brian was born July 23, 1993 in Princeton, New Jersey, the son of Stanley and Tina (Schwartzman) Kanterman. He was a longtime resident of Somerset and recently relocated to Fredericksburg, Virginia to pursue his dream career.

Mr. Kanterman graduated from Franklin Township High School where he was a drum major in the marching band. He attended Rutgers University before relocating to Virginia, where was a Deputy Sheriff and a Certified Correctional Officer for Stafford County. He was also a retired captain from Franklin Township EMT and a long standing member of Franklin Fire.

Brian loved music, hiking, dogs, and sports, especially baseball. Brian was most known for his humor and exceptionally known for his big heart and his care for everyone. Brian is survived by his parents, Stanley and Tina Kanterman; his brother, Jason Kanterman and his girlfriend Kelsey; his aunts, Helene, Mindy, Randee and Pam; his uncles, Dave, Mark, and Arnold and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 30, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. at New Montefiore Cemetery in West Babylon, NY. Family, friends, colleagues, and fellow service-members are welcomed. Consistent with Brian’s wishes and his dedicated service, memorial contributions can be made in Brian Kanterman’s name to any local Fire, EMS, Police or animal shelter of your choosing.
