Bruce’s Obituary REMUS — Bruce Owen Navarre, 81, of Remus, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, in Evart. Bruce was born on Oct.

2, 1937, in Union Township in Isabella County, to his parents, Lee and Alma. Throughout his life, Bruce wore many hats in his working years. He worked for the State of Michigan as both a contract engineer for the highway department and as a commercial pilot.

He also served as the transportation superintendent for the Chippewa Hills School District. Bruce loved the outdoors. He enjoyed flying, hunting, fishing and nature.

Spending summers at Hannah Lake with family and friends was a favorite pastime for Bruce. Getting together with his children and grandchildren to celebrate Christmas also brought him immense joy. Bruce was a storyteller and often would reminisce about his adventures from his childhood.

He also had plenty of stories about raising children, his travels around Michigan throughout his careers, and his love for flying and the outdoors. Bruce enjoyed practical jokes. He was known for his distinctive laugh and great sense of humor.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Alma; siblings, Carolyn, William “Bill,” Viola, Olen, Orville, and Wayne; and son, David. He will be greatly missed by his family that survives him: his sister, Marilyn Reed; children, Bryan (Cindy), Julie, Darcy, and Mark; daughter-in-law, Kim Lentz; step-children, Chris, Kim, and Dennis; grandchildren, Jared, Selena, Janell, Raymond, Eliza, Alanna, Jerri, Shane, Cody, and Paige; six step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A visitation for Bruce will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at the Daggett Funeral Home in Barryton.
