Obituary for Calvin Dale Moss Calvin Dale “Barry” Moss passed away the morning of November 25, 2018 after succumbing to cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones. He was born September 2, 1959 in Anson County to the late William Calvin Moss Jr and Lois Hill Moss.

He was the oldest of 3 and grew up in Mint Hill, NC. Dale’s life was defined by two things: his devotion to his daughter and his love for music. At the age of 4 he saw the Beatles play live on the Ed Sullivan show.

This sparked his lifelong love of music. He spent years working in radio as DJ Barry Michaels in several regions on the East Coast. He also played the guitar and later transitioned into a mobile DJ service to accommodate the challenges of single parenthood.

Bar none, his most proud accomplishment in life was raising his daughter Rhianna, who was the apple of his eye. Dale was one of the good guys, always thoughtful of others and a man of his word. He is survived by his daughter, Rhianna Booth (Samuel); 2 grandchildren, Eleanor and Yates; and a step daughter, Ashley Levesque.

He had 2 siblings, Carl Eric Moss and Jillian Kay Moss as well as two nephews: Derick Moss (Ashley) and Dustin Moss. A special thank you to Charlean Eason for the love and care she gave to Dale during his journey. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 28, 2018, from 1-2 PM, followed by the service at the Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Rd.
