Obituary for Calvin James Cruthirds Calvin James Cruthirds Age 13 of Brighton, MI passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. He was born on October 31, 2005 in Commerce Twp, MI a son of Michael (Mac) and Jennifer (Cassell) Cruthirds. Calvin was a student at Scranton Middle School where his passion was drumming in the school band.

He loved studying ancient Egypt, reading, music of most kinds, and especially his little brothers, Adam and Sean. Calvin is survived by his parents, Jennifer and Michael (Mac) Cruthirds; his brothers, Adam and Sean; his grandparents: Martha Cassell and Jim Barton, Rev. Penny Pitts, Michael and Jeannette Cruthirds, and Mark Pitts; his uncles: Ben, Nick, Alex, and Clint; his aunts: Emmy, Emily, and Robyn; as well as many loving great aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Calvin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bruce Cassell; his grandmother, Jane Williams (”Gigi”); and great grandparents: Robert and Ruth Jackson, and Patricia Ehrlich. A memorial service hosted by St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at St. Mary Magdalen Parish, Brighton with the Rev. Deon K. Johnson, officiating.
