Candice Fletcher Worley, 55, of Unicoi, TN (and former Kennesaw resident) passed into eternal glory on Sunday, May 26th, 2019. Born on March 24th, 1964 in Richmond, VA to Aubrey and Ellen Harlow Fletcher, she was married on April 21, 1990 to C. MacDonald “mac” Worley, Jr of Kennesaw, GA. She received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Mary Washington College where she excelled athletically as well as academically, receiving the Division III MVP award in basketball in her senior year.

She went on to earn a degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia. Candice was a compassionate and excellent steward of her nursing skills in a myriad of environments over many years, from hospital wards to outpatient surgery centers to schools. She coached girl’s basketball at both the middle and high school levels, and in later years became skilled at making beautiful quilts for those she loved.

She was a member of Bridwell Heights Presbyterian Church in Kingsport, TN. Candice was a devoted wife and mother, a cherished daughter, a loyal friend. She is survived by her husband Mac, children Connor (Meg), Kate, and Jake, parents Ellen and Aubrey Fletcher, brother Eric Fletcher and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Wednesday May 28th at the home of Ben & Melissa Worley, 1180 Mossy Rock Rd, Kennesaw; a celebration of the gospel is scheduled for 11:00am on Thursday May 29th at Midway Presbyterian Church, Midway Rd, Powder Srings, GA.
