Obituary for Mr. Carl L. Meredith Carl Lee Meredith, affectionately known as Murdock and Moose, transitioned into Glory on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at home. He leaves to cherish his life his loving wife, Roslyn Lee (nee Corbin), his son, Jared Michael, his mother, Thelma Meredith-Warren, three sisters: Hortensia (Heidi) Coles (David), Brenda Durden (Larry) and Theresa Meredith. Carl was a loving Husband who adored his wife, was a good father, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend.

He was a strong man with a strong voice. He was a humorous, hardworking, honorable, and caring person who often tended to others needs before his own, especially his wife and son. Carl loved traveling with family, watching sports and ID TV.

He was that guy who did not judge…often saying “Let him/her live”. Carl was born on March 13, 1958, in Richmond, Virginia, to Thelma Meredith-Warren. At the age of five, Carl moved from Virginia to Neptune, NJ.

He was educated in the Neptune Township School District and graduated in 1976. In 1980, Carl enlisted in the U.S. Army and served for four years and was honorably discharged in 1984. After serving, Carl began working odd jobs before landing his favorite job as a 1st Journeyman Lineman with JCP&L where he worked steadily for 24 years.

Carl accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized as an adult at Cathedral International in Perth Amboy. Carl served faithfully at its satellite church, Cathedral Assembly at the Shore, in Asbury Park, NJ, until he moved to North Carolina in 2010. Carl loved the Lord and it manifested through his deeds.

He was a good and faithful servant until his transition. Carl left his mark on the lives of his mother, Thelma, his mother-in-law, Arrella Corbin, and his friends to the end: Dawn Corbin and Aswan Sterling. Carl loved his family and leaves to cherish his memory his nephews, nieces, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, co-workers, friends, N.A. family and the mother of his Son, Penni Leah (Ohio).

He had a special bond with his family and friends and doggie, Bear. Carl left many stories to tell…. .
