Obituary for Mr. August C. Seyr August C. Seyr, 40, of Neptune passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 at home. Family and friends are invited to 5-7pm Memorial Service Friday, June 8, 2018 at Ely Funeral Home in Neptune. Augie had a lot of challenges in his life.

However, through it all, he persevered. As a tween he had no fear. The fake front tooth and bum knee conditions he got from flying through the air on his skateboard, climbing trees and jumping ramps on his bike.

In those days, his favorite color was camouflage. He had incredible talent and mechanical ability. He was an accomplished chef, musician and drone/computer techie.

Once he started flying his first drone, he immediately found ways of making it better. He retrofitted “disco lights” as he called it, to the legs which gave the appearance of aliens landing. Cool to watch.

He even needed some repair on the drone and told the repairman how to fix it. He never wanted to be a bother to anyone. After the third procedure on his hip he became a loner for the most part because of his inability to get around, sit and stand.

Until then, he was a fantastic and creative cook. Like I said – a lot of challenges. Survived by his parents, Ron and Stephanie, brother Andrew, and nieces Andie and Katie.

He also leaves behind a family who loved him and prayed for him daily. He grew up in Cliffside Park and amassed a huge collection of friends there who he maintained a relationship to. His favorite music was the Grateful Dead and Max Creek and listened to it often.

He finally started playing his guitar again. That was a good day. www.
