He was born on September 10th, 1953 in Tlahualilo, Durango, Mexico, the son of Felipe Venegas and Maria Santos Venegas, married Kathy Lynn Jones, on February 8th, 1974 in Fredericksburg, Texas. Preceded in death by his parents.

Carlos is survived by his wife, Kathy Lynn Jones Venegas of Fredericksburg One son, one daughter & spouses, Carlos Jr. & Amanda Venegas of Cherryvale, Kansas Brenda & Gary Lange of Fredericksburg Five grandchildren Four sisters, four brothers, Lidia Venegas of Dallas Maria Venegas; Ramon Venegas; Antonia Venegas; Felipe Venegas; Aurora Venegas; Jose Venegas; and Antonio Venegas all of Acuna, Mexico. Graveside services and interment will be held on Monday, February 4th, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. in the Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg, Texas, with Mr. Victor Perez officiating. Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in his memory to the charity of their choice.
