Frieda Kusenberger June 13, 1923 – February 18, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Mrs. Walter Kusenberger nee Frieda Mund of Fredericksburg passed away on Monday, February 18th at the age of 95 years. Frieda Mund was born on June 13, 1923 in Doss, Texas to Emil and Frieda Knopp Mund. She was named after her mother Frieda, who passed away when she was three days old.

Frieda was raised by Theodore and Herminia Knopp Knopp and Ida Knopp. She worked at the Fredericksburg Bakery, Cody Bradshaw Pharmacy and seventeen and one half years for Walmart. She was confirmed at Holy Ghost Lutheran Church.

She graduated from Fredericksburg High School in the class of 1942. Frieda was married to John D. Hudnut on January 8th, 1943 and had three children, Lester Patricia and Nancy She married Walter Kusenberger on April 6th, 1953 and had one daughter, Lois Mrs. Frieda Kusenberger is survived by two daughters and spouses: Patricia and Richard Goewe of Comfort Lois and Duane Weidenfeller of Fredericksburg Daughter in law: Adonia, Mrs. Lester Hudnut of Arkansas 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and her two beloved cats Tassie and Midnight. She is preceded in death by her parents: Emil and Frieda Knopp Mund, First Husband: John D. Hudnut .

Two sisters, three brothers: Esther Klein, Robert Mund, Ted Mund, Elgin Mund, Hermina Krauskopf, Son: Lester Hudnut, Daughter: Nancy Schmidt, Grandson: John Scott Hudnut, Grand daughter in law: Debbie Goewe Funeral Services for Mrs. Frieda Kusenberger will be held on Thursday, February 21st at 10:30 A.M. in the chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home, Fredericksburg with Rev. David Priem and Rev. Adonia Hudnut officiating Cremation will follow with a private interment of her cremains at a later date For those who so desire you may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Holy Ghost Lutheran Church or to the charity of your choice Visitation for Mrs. Frieda Kusenberger will begin on Wednesday, February 20th from 4 to 8 P.M. and on Thursday, February 21st from 7 to 10:30 A.M. in the chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home, Fredericksburg Arrangements are by the Schaetter Funeral Home Expressions of sympathy may be sent at www.
