Guglielmi, 95, passed away on Christmas Eve at her home. Carmela was born and raised in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late Leonardo and Vita (Galasso) Guglielmi. She grew up and was raised in the North End and was a graduate of Crosby High School.

She attended the University of Bridgeport. Carmela worked for Uniroyal Inc. for 27 years and after worked as a dietary aide at St. Mary’s Hospital before her retirement. She was an avid gardener and a master cook.

She was a quiet and very loyal person and will be sorely missed. She leaves a number of nieces and nephews none of whom lived in the immediate area. For the last five years, Carmela has made her home with her cousin, James L. Sullivan and his wife, Joan.

In addition to her mother and father, she was predeceased by two brothers, Domenic and Anthony and her sister, Ann. Arrangements: Funeral will be held on Friday, December, 28, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to St. Lucy’s Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
