Carmella Ann Giangreco, 80, of Leawood, KS, passed away on Sunday, July 22nd, 2018. Carmella was born in Kansas City, MO on February 16th, 1938 to Charles V. and Anna Shortino. She was a graduate of Glennon High School, earned a Bachelor’s degree from St. Theresa’s (Avila), and a Master’s in Education from Wichita State University.

Carmella’s love of children and learning was exercised through her professional life of teaching at St. Thomas Aquinas in Wichita and the Center School District in Kansas City for over 30 years. She was a member of Curé of Ars Church. Carmella was a loving selfless giver, a lifelong learner, and leaves a legacy of encouraging optimism for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John J. Giangreco, an infant brother, and infant twin sisters. She is survived by her daughter Ann Asperheim and husband Scott of Leawood, KS; granddaughter Michelle (Austin) Gillard of Clay Center, KS; great grandchildren Gavin and Ella; her husband of over 30 years Steve Little and his children Brion Little and Jolie Eaton and grandson Cail Cooper; dear friend of over 50 years Irene Broyles; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
